Why you, instead of me?

I did this one to do something different and was really happy with how it turned out. All done in marker.

Questionable.

Just another part of my concentration. I did it with oil pastel and paint.

Portrait.

A client at my work asked me to do her grandaughter for her. I used charcoal.

I used paint, charcoal and pen.

Is there a ghost in my house?

Band of Horses sort of gave me the idea for this. All charcoal.

Huh?

This is part of my concentration. I used charcoal, colored pencils and paint.

Never finished this one but I dont exactly mind. It was just a small idea and I still like the way it looks quite a bit. Just for fun.

Life

This one is an interesting one. A girl that I work with is about to have a baby and is going to name it Abe.. so I took her ultrasound picture of the baby and put it on this peice. First I used marker on the backround and then went over it in charcoal pencil and then accented it more with black oil pastel. I gave it to her as a present and I was really happy with the outcome of it.

Amy Winehouse

This is Amy Winehouse. I tried the comic book style form a little bit just to step out of my realm. It was just done with marker.

EyeYa.

This one was a lot of fun because I have never done something this detailed in pastel before. I dont really know what it is besides a eye ball but its pretty cool.

Speedy Cone

Ice cream cone done in chalk pastel. Was pretty simple.

Tealdom.

This guy was done is charcoal pencil and the background was done in chalk pastel.

There are times where life is grey, but I only see red.

The theme of this peice was something ordinary to something extrordinary and exaggerated. So this was my idea. The tree was done in charcoal pencil and the apple, foreground, and background was done in oil pastel. I like it a lot.

Mirrored

This was a picture of my sister. I used red paint on the backround and then took water and ran it over the red to wash it off the canvas a bit in the middle. Then I took black and white charcoal pencils and did the drawing with that. I really like how this one turned out.

Into the forest

This one was a little bit tricky because I used paint for the base and made it textured. When I tried to go over the paint in charcoal the charcoal didnt want to stick to the paint but after going over it a bunch it all worked out and I think it turned out to be pretty cool.

Imagine

I love this one. It was my first time creating these characters, about a year ago. It was done in charcoal and the text reads, "Imagine: How we would appear if we could no longer hide behind our beauty. Exposed completely for all that you truly are. Beauty is only temporary, and the day of truth will come."

Declare Yourself

This one was done in all pen and it was for the election.
